Guild Handbook

Intro Statement

Each member plays an important role in the success of the guild, therefore Verity members are chosen because they meet high standards. Our members are mature, intelligent and well-mannered, and it is expected that our members maintain these qualities when representing Verity. We have put together these policies so we all have the same expectations. If you have any questions, regardless of whether or not it is listed on this page, please complete a confidential Contact form.

Guild Affairs

Guild drama is very undesirable for many reasons, so Verity has a strict policy when it comes to dealing with guild affairs. We game because we find it enjoyable and it allows us an escape from the real world. This is why it is extremely important that you do not, under any circumstances, discuss negative issues regarding the guild in a public forum or public chat of any kind. This includes making negative comments about other guild members, discussing guild decisions or policies and making snide comments for whatever reason in guild chat. We encourage you to talk about any guild related problems that you might have with a guild officer. There are a number of ways you can contact one of the guild officers: through this website using the contact form, by sending a Private Message using the guild forums, via IRC (general chat or a PM), by e-mail or by using a /tell in game. So, speak with a guild officer if you have a problem, but don't air your dirty laundry - this is a zero tolerance policy.

You Are Representing Verity

Verity strives hard to maintain its excellent reputation and member actions that reflect poorly on the guild will be taken very seriously. Remember, the public will be judging Verity based on its members' behavior and we want to set the highest standards for others to follow.

Our code of conduct is simple:

  • Respect other players.
  • Do not participate in disruptive behavior.
  • Do not beg other players, lie, cheat or steal.
  • Do not use racial slurs (we have a ZERO tolerance policy), and refrain from vulgar language in public.
  • Use the proper chat channels (ooc/shout/auction).
  • Abide by the rules set forth in the Terms of Service (TOS).
  • We do not condone aspects of play that are detrimental to the experience of other players. (See The Fun Rule)

If you have to question yourself as to whether your actions are in the best interest of the guild, chances are they're not. If you need help please see a guild officer in-game, or complete a contact form here on the website.

Adhere to the Rules of the Game

Although we may not always like the rules set forth in the Terms of Service for whatever game we're playing, we must still follow them. Members who violate TOS policies may face disciplinary action.
